Default House Paints for Printing...A Process Thread

Thanks to the information on GP (and Nate Duval) I made the jump to house paints this weekend.

$5 a quart, color already mixed. Way cheaper that speedball. Used it right out of the can. Easy clean up. Kept details perfect. No smell. Dries quick on paper.

No Floetrol? How many prints did you get? Nothing dried in the screen? DETAILS, man, I need details!

Also, you are correct, you can get about 200 prints out of a quart ($5!) if it's just "normal" coverage kind of stuff.

Also if you're scared about it drying in your screen, you can add some retarder. I just use Golden's since thats what the art store here carries.

On lower mesh counts you may get some detail loss, in that case I mix about 50/50 with speedball. This mixture also works well for higher mesh counts too.
