Magnetic 4 Color Press

A friend of a friend is selling his 4 color, 1 station magnetic press, with squeegees, inks, emulsion, spot cure, and a bunch of other stuff for $1000 cdn. I don't think it's worth that much, what do you think? I'm also wondering if a magnetic press is good, it seems pretty amateur. Has anyone owned one? I currently am using a harco 4 color 4 station press bought from Monster Press in Langley, BC. This magnetic press would save room and allow me to keep my current press but once again i'm not sure how good this press really is.

That same press for Under $400 USD. I think your friend may be asking too much. I know in Seattle, a lot of people are trying to get rid of that press on a regular basis. I had a one color like that, and gave it away cause I was tired of dealing with t-shirt printing. It worked, but was a pain to setup.

I have one of these sitting around as a backup for t-shirts. I also use it for posters (with a big ass 20" x 26" platen attached) Not having micro or joystick registration can be difficult at times, but not impossible. Good for doing stuff in a spare bedroom because it doesn't take up much space, but that price is definitely too steep.

We started Monster Press with that Harco press and a old barn with stolen hydro!

Look at us now! 3 bay warehouse, M&R automatics, employees!

We got that press off of LEVEL (skateboard clothing store) it's what they started with too!

So there is good karma on that press! (if you ignore the fact that LEVEL recently went belly up!)

That's the press I started with. It's actually fairly decent for a beginner. Hell, it's more level than my current professional t-shirt press!

But it's worth $200 tops.
