Default Hours in Illustrator...

I'm curious to know what is the most hours you've spent on a contract for a client.

Also is there a way to tell how many hours you've spent on a project in illustrator? Would is say anywhere number of hours? I know it will tell you when it was created and the last time you worked on it but hours would be good too.

Thanks.

I can't remember the exact hours but I remember rounding off the total on the invoice to 40k.

I keep a time sheet that I document my time with. I'm old school.

I definetly have to start tracking hours. Is there no way to find out how many hours you spent in illustrator though?

I document my time mainly for my own benefit. Just so I have an accurate idea of how long it takes me to work so I can give better more accurate estimates in the future.

There are tons of online time tracking tools like harvest. I'm sure you could find somthign to help you out. Just need to be on top of opening and closing the project timer as your working. Not to diffcult once you get used to it.

number of hours shouldn't be the only factor in the job budget.

unless you've specifically taken on a job at an hourly rate.if that's the case..... buy a cheap time clock and don't charge the clientfor any time you wander off anywhere physically, mentally or cyberly )..
