I tried that once, but when I tried to print the invoice it was just a giant bitmapped middle finger? Weird.

What's your going rate? Let's say you designed the gigposters logo, what would you charge? I hear most shops charge $600 for 3 drawings and one change then it's by the hour after that. Is that how most of you do it?

this may help:

Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines

a great book for pricing reference...also depends on what market you are working in.
Like say, NYC vs. Missing Teethville.

Are you joking or serious (sorry, the internets can lack tone sometimes)? if you are serious, maybe it was a pirated copy? if so, that is awesome. i would pirate it just to see that.

I spend about 6 to7 hours a day on illustrator and Corel at work. For a logo I start at $250.00 and that is based on an hour of my time from there it goes up. This is not for freehand sketches just fonts and computer time.
Freehand logo's with sketches and more sketches are gonna start at $700.00

I really need to research this more. I could be screwing myself. I don't do alot
of logo design stuff.

I do alot of small t-shirt jobs / side work
