I know it must depend on the paper, size of image, type of ink, etc. but I'm wondering how much water based inks affect registration. I've been looking through back posts on GP, and I read that paper expands and contracts as it's wet and as it dries. Other than waiting until the print is dry to the touch, I'm not sure how much additional time (if any) should pass before laying down the next color. I'm printing with water soluable inks (mostly Speedball at the moment).
Sorry if this stuff has been covered before. Any insight would be really helpful.
Oh, and in case it matters, I am printing by hand, no vacuum table (should I invest in some spraymount??). I use small peices of brass or styrene as registration tabs.
