Emergency!? (Maybe)

I was just trying reclaim/clean some screens and I can't get the emulsion to come off. I don't have a pressure washer so it usually takes some extra elbow grease, but this time around I can hardly get pin holes to washout.

Does reclaiming chemical expire?

There's a note on the side of the bottle that says "Do not allow to dry or it may permanently set emulsion." Is that true even if I rinse it really well?

I just used the chemical a month ago on the same screens with the same emulsion and it worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

yeah letting it dry can freeze it in....i am by no means an expert
but i was reclaiming and if i leave it over 5 minutes (recommended 3-5) it is there like concrete

did it dry..if so you may be screwed...buy a pressure washer.

It didn't dry yet, but what are my options if I can't get it to wash out using the chemical I have now?

yeah i time 4 minutes and mist again then use a garden sprayer with several settings on my laundry sink....havent had a problem since i had to re-mesh 6 frames and that sucks

dont let emulsion remover dry

maybe spray it down with bleach, let it set for a few minutes and hit it with a pressure washer....Thats all I could recommend

weve frozen our screens before, wht we used to do was spray them with the emulsion reomver then toss them in the car on the way to the carwash, our thought process was "the longer it sits ont he screen, the easier it will be to wash, right?" nope, totally froze them, ruined. too bad i guess, by a new screen?

Well with bleach I was able to reclaim most of the screen. So I guess its not a complete loss. I can use the screen for "dirty" designs.

In the future do you guys and gals have any tips as to the best why to reclaim screens and the best chemicals. I know I need to get a pressure washer.

follow the recommended times on the product you use.....saturate and get a pressure washer or short hose and spray nozzle
