I am sure I don't fully understand how you work but if you are cutting your images with an exacto knife why don't you just use rubylith or amberlith to cut your positives and burn the screen?

My phrasing might have been kind of vague. I didn't meant to imply that I was actually cutting my transparencies. I've been scratching toner from some areas of the positive for added details. This is for top layers with line work and fine details. For larger postives, I am planning on using rubylith.

Here's a little update on my situation:
I did a step wedge test, and I determined that I was over-exposing my screens. I ended up cutting my exposure time in half. The result was a much more detailed and cleaner exposure. I haven't tried printing with this screen yet, but I can tell it's already much better.
Thanks again for the advice!
