Wow. I wish a school around here was unloading some presses, but I think they all did that about 20 years ago. Newspapers do this sometimes as well. The dude I work with here got a number of his Heidelbergs from our local paper.

Boxcar Press is the place to go to have your photopolymer plates made. They also make special bases for them. I'd give them a call and see what plates they recommend for your press as they make different kinds for different presses.

Dirk: You use photopolymer for most of your work? I was under the idea that you did lino cuts, for some reason.

I don't use photopolymer at all. I have used Owosso for small logos and such, that I can't cut. I like their magnesium plates.

Yeah, I was going to say that Owosso might be good for some things that I have no idea about...mainly what we were ordering from them were 16g raised magnesium plates for a Chandler & Price, edges were consistently curled and raised, catching ink and printing sometimes....
