i sign and number all prints in the lower right corner in pencil (on the front).

if i make 300 posters, i sign them 1 through 300. all other posters are destroyed.

occasionally, i won't sign or edition a print. this might be due to sheer number of posters made. it might be due to someone else printing them.

i feel like signing and numbering is a way to say that this is something printed by a person, (as opposed to simply pressing command P on a keyboard), and that there are only so many of these printed, and that they won't be reprinted. this isn't a function of pandering to collectors (though they love this), but is simply a way to clarify what is special about my (or your, or rob jones', or eleanor grosch's) prints.
