I've definitely had bands specifically request that all copies of a poster that I've done for them are signed AND numbered so that they have a definite limited edition being produced. which, makes sense to me from that perspective.

I was going to add that but got lazy and tired of typing...

Art,

I'm huge. My signature will make someone millions in the future.

fake editions are worth more in collector fields. it's sorta like the franklin mint. but who ever buys and sells in the aftermarket collectible world of franklin mint? not the folks who buy them in the first place. there is no aftermarket value for franklin mint (outside of scrap metal prices).

maybe someday, this whole mess will filter down into some sort of organized rating/value system. but, for now, i ignore it.

I typically write promo on the back of the copies the venue gets... it's that many more that I don't have to "sign and number".

Scribbling "promo" on the back is faster that the s&n.

Maybe we can get CGC involved - they're doing a good job ruining comic collecting.

I'm sitting on an unopened case of baby dolls dressed in Harley-Davidson leathers.
