You have to keep in mind that your one-screen order is hardly at the top of their list when they have orders for hundreds of screens to take care of.
Us gigposterers are pretty small potatoes ion the big picture.

the idea you have to press harder is counterintuitive - with higher tension, you can use less off contact to acheive snapoff after your squeegee stroke. Less off contact means less pressure to contact the screen to the paper or shirt.

Higher tension also allows for easier coating, reclaiming, better registration and sharper prints. You will also get better inkflow, because the spaces between the threads are opened too their maximum potential. The only drawback is they may be more prone to ripping if they get nicked or you damage some threads. Avoid printing near the frame edge, or you risk delaminating.
Good advice. We are getting ready to do our first 3 color print and I was worried about registration, but I'll use these new screens for it. Our all manual everything press is a little bit tricky to adjust off contact with but I usually try for about 1/8 inch. We print with discharge ink and paste which is thinner than plastisol ink, I've noticed and we get a nice snap with that mostly.

People who have used Pocono...Should I soft scrub them before coating like is mentioned in another thread?

roughin' up a new screen
