I have this project I might be taking on. A friend of mine works for an ad agency here in town and one of the clients has this big annual event where he throws down alot of money. They do posters every year for the event that are offset printed. The client is realy into art and wants one poster for himself to be screen printed. It will be something like 10-12 colors. Now I have to come up with a price.

i've printed a single poster a few times. anniversary gifts etc. print like ten then give them the best one and ditch the rest. kinda cool knowing it is the only on in circulation.

i know some people charge prices like this:
design fee, set up fee, $50 a color, then $1 a color for each additional poster.

Charge him for screen printing then give him a giclee on some nice ass paper.

How big is the annual event? Why not convince them to do all the posters screenprinted... more money for you... Why do a ton offset and then one screenprinted?
