Vacuum Exposure Unit Suggestions

I need a new professional exposure unit with a vacuum pump. I'm looking to do large screens (40" x 48" OD) with good detail. Any suggestions on what's good. I looked at a few online but you can't really tell what's good quality without actually seeing the product. Did I mention money is only a small object. I'll pay for quality.

We have one of these

it's a work horse, the only thing in 8 years that has happened is that some asshat dropped a screen on the glass and it broke, but no mech problems ever. Never even had to replace the bulb. It's smaller than what you are looking for but they make them larger.

On a somewhat related note: I just bought a new vacuum. Now to see if I can get the woman to use it.

The 47" x 57" Eagle fluorescent unit looks nice for the price. ($2600)


The Eagle PAPI frame is also an option because I have an old horizontal metal halide light source. I don't really use it because it requires 220v and the bulbs cost over $200, but it is just sitting in my garage (trade for some design work a long time ago). I was offered a larger version of this frame but it was way too large and so heavy that I would have needed a forklift to pick it up for delivery and installing.

My exposure system is made by them and has lasted 30 years plus. I just changed the blanket and pump which were a little beat up after all this time. Douthitt may be more industrial than you need though.

I need one, too. My worklight solution is sucky, and sun in Seattle is unreliable.

Steve (or other Steve), did you wind up finding something that worked? I would be very happy to find a used one...
