Separations from indesign...

Someone wants me to print some posters for them. I said "let me see the designs". They sent me an inDesign file that contains 4 poster designs.

I'm not planning on separating them but I'd like to be able to point them in a direction that is helpful... is getting spot color seps from inDesign even possible?

just import the resource file into PS or AI. dont cut and paste..import and then proceed as normal.

if they just sent you the pdf..it might be a little wonky.

indesign is great. made doing my book a breeze...just youll be working backwards.

an indesign file is basically a template. you can add vector elements directly. any pixel based images is imported, so there is usually a resource file that is PS or AI.
