OK, is there a better way to do this?
I'm doing a 2-color screen print. I need to make them 6-up in Photoshop with crop marks and everything. The file is built Indesign.
I printed a .ps file of the seps, with trapping included. I then placed each color on it's own layer in photoshop @ 600 dpi. Copy and pasted each layer 6 times. Then merged all layers of like color.
Is that ok to send to the printer?

Just take each layer and turn to black.
Export a pdf with crops, bleed and regs.
Label each one.
I do this all the time and send to various printers.

Well.... maybe i don't do it exactly that way but you get the idea.
One day everyone will be using Indesign to layout posters. Yep.... one day.

I've used InDesign for like 20 minutes...total...since Adobe released it.
Can you do stuff like...overprint fills...in it?

For you, I think indesign would be worthless. My files are very simple tiffs, nothing like your stuff. It's very knuckle-dragger, but my files are easy and there's no halftone stuff to worry about.

I just like it for the precision with type... feels intuitive like a page layout program should... but nothing like PS.

I've got it. Sometimes I even drop EPS's and TIF's in there and send that shit to the printer. I typed a couple words once, too.

Yeah it can do it...I've never done it tho.
