meh, I'm done with housepaint. Even with retarder and floetrol it dries into details fairly easily, and then you're screwed--doesn't wash out like speedball. There's also often not enough pigment for good coverage and you get ugly orange peel texture.

i never have any problems and my paintz dries clear and nicelike. I use Sherwin Williams™ and French Paper. Buy a print and see for yourself!

I always have the orange peel texture thing going on, it's just bugs me too much. I feel like i've tried most brands so I don't know that that's the issue.

I've added extender base to my paint to make the orange peel effect go away. It's usually caused by too much water in the paint.

I've since been using a lot more speedball. The consistency is so much better, and it's a lot easier to get the intended results.

However, i've got a lot of paint I need to use up. Just did a print yesterday with paint, and it turned out great.

these days if I use house paint at all it's for tinting to get the right color but that's about it.

The orange peel is too high of a carrier/pigment ratio. Evaporate your carrier and replace with one that's easier to work with, like glycerine.
