    Default Process: CD Case Printing

This project was completed by myself and Nicholas Wilson

These cds are for Heist and the Accomplice. It was 5 color silkscreen and 3 color letterpress.

We found the other process threads to be really awesome, so we wanted to contribute.

We also hope to never have to print on prefabricated cd cases again, it was pure hell.

First white layer. At this point, we were still confident that this project was going to a breeze.

    Completed 250 white.

    Starting the yellow.

    A few yellow finished.

Black detail finished on 250 cases (only half of the total cases.)

    4th color, interior scene.

Nick laying out the "credits" type.

    Printing.

    Credits interior halfway done.

    Nick Printing.

Starting the black interior. LAST COLOR. (All those stacks equal 250.)

    Interior 250 printed.

    Detail of interior.

Poster that we did for the cd release.

Other poster. Editions of 25 a design.

Major Lesson Learned in doing this project:
Don't work without a contract. Ever.

this is really awesome. it's nice to see letterpress and silkscreen come together..
composing type (looks like 14 pt?) without a chase to lock it into? I feel your pain.

What happened (the part about never working without a contract?), they didn't pay you? That's a shit ton of work you guys put into those.
