I highly recommend investing in a power washer. I think mine was $175 from Home Depot. I have 5 screens that I've been reusing for the past 2 years, and all I do is blast out all the emulison and screen filler with water after I'm done. Sometimes Ulano Haze Remover is necessary, but I just make sure to wear gloves and a respirator. Take care of yourself-- your health is most important!

cool..thanks for all the tips. i'll look around for the ulano qtx stuff. i picked up some of the speedball diazo stuff today and mixed it up according to the bottle, and the little sensitizer bottle only had this black tar like gunk in it that barely dissolved in water. did the best i could with it, so i'll try it on a crappy screen, just to see if light does anything to it, or if i have to throw the screen away.

also for underpin...for the speedball photoemulsion, i just used a 50:50 mix of water and bleach. wipe it on the screen with a paper towel, let it sit for about 10 minutes, it'll wash right out.

I concur with local. Ulano QTX and stencil remover #4.
Also, I'm working on the layout for THE SCREWBALL METHOD,
a how-to manual for the financially impaired.
Hope to have some form of it by Flatstock.

You can get the QTX etc. from AWT here in Chicago, if you have time
    to wait for shipping. 773.777.7100

We use ulano 925 WR. We have a gallon bucket but the stuff is getting old. It starts to loose it's sensitivity after 7 or 8 months. We're at the bottom of the barrel and the results are dodgy. I'm not sure what reclaimer we're using but we can usually find a gallon of any variety that pretty much breaks down the stuff really easy. We also you a ghost remover that keeps the screens really clear.

Oh. We had mixed results using bleach as a reclaimer. If your not careful the bleach sometimes freezes emulsion into the screen. We had early nightmares when we first started doing this stuff using bleach.

Now we are too. we really weren't working that much in the beginning because we were building all the stuff we needed and working out kinks in how we do stuff down here. We built a light table for burns, spray booth, tables, shelving and we are in the process of building drying racks. If you can't afford it build it.
