    Default beginner question

I'm sure you get this a lot:

I've done plenty of tshirt printing and dabbled a little in printing on paper (just some card stock). I'd like to start doing more professional looking stuff (flyers/posters).

Can someone please give me some paper and ink recommendations?

    Thanks so much!

I don't take shit from Philly kids.

We used to use Nazdar 5500 series but we recenty stopped cause we ran low and it is now illegal to use in California. We are going to start using a waterbased ink from TSW that is not illegal but can't tell you about it cause I haven't used it yet.

As far as paper, generally we use 110# White Uncoated Index stock. It's cheap and of a decent weight. Ink bleed is hardly noticeable.

Watch who you call a douche. I've got people in Philly.

check out paper at places like http://www.reichpaper.com and http://www.mrfrench.com and I know stinkbait can tell yah about the waterbased ink we at factor27 use...we mix in cat urine to help give that 'sheen' of a winner.

seriously though...stay tuned to the thread and others like stinky will answer.

and Richie knows his shit...just likes to give it too

We use TW Graphics. The waterbase Matte stuff by the gallons...No problems yet however it does not make our designs look any better. Only booze and maybe ecstasy does that... "I love everything!"

That's the shit. TW Graphics...that's what we're getting.

I sure am gonna miss the high that comes with solvent based inks though. That was the closest I've gotten to drugs in years.
