    Default cameo 30 maintenance

directed at andy stern and any others who have more experience in such things than me...

what's the annual oiling / greasing i have to do on this press?

i figure more and more of us have these awesome machines (welcome to the club, decoder ring). we need to keep them running.

hint: never buy a press from someone whose last name is "budz". he will never actually get around to printing out the operator's manual for the press you buy from him, even after a year and a half.

sorry i don't have a cameo, i have used one before. a long time ago. some presses have little nipples that are for grease guns you might see if your press has them and get some grease and a gun and just lube that baby up.

I haven't changed the oil in mine yet. I don't know what weight oil to use. I grease mine about twice a month.

put a little grease here and there, kiss it's under belly, and say nice things to it.

i may have a manual for one of them.

grease the bars that the chopper assembaly slides on. Get a grease gun with a zirc fitting on it and squeeze a bit of grease into all the zirc fitting you see.

as with any screen shop we are way behind on our mantanence of all our presses, i think i may hire someone to come in every other month to d it for us.

the only time the oil was ever changed in the gear box was when it was rebuilt. I have no idea.
