We're newbies, (as they say) to poster screenprinting, and have been told many different things about the best inks to use. We have some friends that use Plastisol ink and use a flash dryer between colors, no worries about screens drying up, waiting for things to airdry, etc.
However, we have been doing a little experimenting with Plastisol fabric inks and maybe it is the brand we are using or how old it is (old left over sample inks given to us by the guy we acquired the press from) but on some samples the ink is lifting and scratching off.
We are worried about water-based inks, due to the fact that the dry so easily on screens and you constantly have to keep it moving, and the wait time between colors to air dry, etc.
What are people's thoughts and experiences in the different types of inks for poster printing. (Types and brands if possible)
Thank you so much!
