Default Where to buy equipment?

I'm looking for a place that will sell me some good metal-framed screens at a good price -- any suggestions?

And I might be in the market for a vacuum table, too -- depending on if I can afford it.

Thanks for any help.

Get a shop vac. Build a small box under some masonite. Drill holes in the masonite....blammo Vacuum table.

Way cheaper than buying one.

If you're just planning on doing posters get wood frames. Metal ones aint cheap and they're kind of a bitch unless they're retensionables which are mucho dinero.

hey all --

my wife's the printer (though I do it some, but I mainly do web work) and what i'm trying to do is set up a home studio for her for Christmas.

She has a bunch of wood ones (the kind you can re-stretch), but I know she learned on (and likes) the metal tube ones. The studio where she's currently going has crumby wood frames with glued on screens.

So if anyone is selling used frames (any size, I'm trying to get a couple) or knows of an online retailer, let me know. (PM, I sent you an email off-board -- I'm interested in buying from you...)

The drilling my own vacuum table thing, though -- that's a grood idea. DIY is pretty punk rock, I say.

Try Irish Screen graphics for big wood screens. Ours are like 36 by 28 and they were about 40 bucks each, I am sure they are cheaper as you get smaller. Yes build the table yourself, We can send you a sketch, w/ dimensions if you need something to go by. Just think, If your wife likes it she might get some crazy ideas with the vacuum. I think Peveto and his squeeze have been "experimenting" in our shop.

There is nothing hotter than a woman with a squeegee in one hand and a shop-vac in the other.

I'd be interested in such a sketch....e-mail it to me if you've got something down electronically.

Thanks!
