hello all,

finally we are starting our last collaboration print for the kickstarter campaign for Galerie F. dan macadam took some shots and created the separations for the print, which i will then be redrawing and printing here at FugScreens. trying my best not to fuck up a gorgeous Crosshair print. should eventually be about 8 to 10 layers overall.

anywho lets get started.

here are the stencils for the first color and some close ups of the first color printed.






here's the color for the first layer. 30% transparent base in a grey/green tone.

in a few minutes ill be sharing the color and films for layer two. the next three layers [two, three, and four] are all untouched original dan macadam films. gettin our photographic on.

to follow! final shots of the second layer down and some more process photos. been listening to NPR for half of the day, which included 30 minutes of NATO trivia. probably wont be the most useful in pub trivia but maybe ill get a leg up on the next game of trivial pursuit.

up next will be the final shot of layer three, followed by the beginnings of layer four which will be a muted army green to give some pop to the shirt.

here we go with the full shot of the third layer finished



annnnnd here we are prepping for layer four. another one that is keeping to dan macadam's original art work. going for a grass toned green semi-transparent.

stay tuned for the fourth color down. then on to layer five, which will be back to handdrawn recreating of my own doing of dan's work. then later on we'll get into some blending of both handdrawn and original digital work.

after printing that last color once, we realized it was way too transparent and far too similar to the first color. so i mixed a bit darker color at 40% transparency



so here we go with the fourth layer down. four more to go. here's the full print with some close up shots.









and now i am currently working on the stencil for layer five. here's a shot of dan's original digital work for this layer...


going to be a skin tone, not mixed yet but have some ideas brewing

ill be replacing all of the black space with small cross hatching and eventually a text layer laid over all of it.
