If screen printing was building construction: 40% of the work force would be hammering nails with screwdrivers and plaster trowels . .

Whatever. Dude is printing in his kitchen. Shining a light on a screen isn't complicated.

Thanks for all the advice guys. To be honest, I woud LOVE to have a complete shop set up for my work. Unfortunately, I don't have those kinds of funds. I also live with another person, who isn't a screen printer, so building a larger exposing unit might not go over so well with her (we're not a couple, otherwise I would have already built the damn thing).

I use the vacuum bag technique to get my films nice and tights against the screens. This is why I thought hanging the screen vertically might work.

I guess I'll just try to print 13"x19" posters first and slowly work my way up to larger prints.

Thanks the hipoisie for the photo of the flood lights. How long does it take to burn your screens and at what distance?

So how long does that take? I'm willing to try anything.

That's 1000 watts about 3ft from the screen. Takes around 9 minutes with Imagemate PC701.
