exposing woes....image distorted on screen

i was wondering if anyone has ever exposed a screen and had the image get distorted or skewed a little. I shot a screen today and when i went to register the image of the screen did not line up with film i used. any one have this issue or figure out why it happens...btw i am using a exposure unit with black lights and a vacuum lid...

Have you lined up the positives with each other to see if there is any distortion in them?

yeah i tried lining them up...it's happened in the past...but never figured out why...

no...i meant i've tried lining them up and the films are right on, but when i check it against the exposed screen the image on the screen doesn't line up...crazyness

Sure doesn't make much sense. There are no signs on the screen of the vacuum having been weak, like detail lost in the areas that are distorted?

no weak vacuum here...no loss in detail...it was a perfectly burned screen until i went to register...

And the prints aren't distorted somehow, they match the first sep perfectly? A rogue screen is just shrinking your stencil or some shit? Maybe this should be on Zeitgeist or whatever,

Are you stretching your own screens? How close to the edge of the frame is the image?

What kind of positive? paper or mylar will expand/flatten and so the image on the screen will be bigger than the positive. if the screen has a warp, the vac unit can pull it flat during exposure.

Did you check for rips or loose mesh on the edge of the screen?
