Can I Use Fabric Ink on Canvas? What About Heat Setting?

Hello! I just started screen printing and was wondering how i could do a few prints on gallery wrapped canvas. Can i use my Permaset Aqua fabric ink on it? And does it need to be heat set.. I was thinking a blow dryer on low could work? I just can't seem to find a straight answer on this topic.

I've printed on canvas with latex housepaint, Nazdar 9500 textile ink, Speedball acrylic. All goes down fine (more to it than that but...later) and if the ink is waterbased you shouldn't need to heat set it. Heat setting water ink on fabric prevents ink from flaking off in the wash, for tshirts and such. I hit canvas with heat gun between colors as I print canvas on a Tshirt press. Although maybe heat setting affects longevity on the canvas, but I don't think so.
