Large format screenprinting?

Hey guys, i searched a bit but found little on this.

Basically, I am looking at running some larger posters somewhere around 6 feet by 3.5 feet. I googled and only found some info on auto machines to print this size, i imagine it has been done and I have a few ideas about how I can pull it off but im looking to see if anyone here has tried printing this big manually and if so, how was it done or any tips.

Spend a fortune on some screens and a vacuum frame for exposure, find a big ol' one-arm.

It depends what the quality you'd like to achive. In the old times giant posters, glass and big substrate in general was printed manually using a big squeegee and 2 man, one on a side of the screen, one to the opposite side. Big screens are REALLY expensive and ripping a mesh on them is easy, specially on high mesh (I assume you won't print fabric).Big screens can lifted with a rope and a pulley. I suggest a diy vacuum table.

If you're looking quality go for professional press. Ask Andymac, he sells very large presses, also manual, and sometimes happens he has got a used one for cheap in sleeve.
