CMYK printing

I'm thinking I want to try my first CMYK print. I'll let the lab handle the film output and the color seperations, but i know they'll want some basic information about how to give me a film for each color. These are questions I'm not sure I can answer.

What do I need to know, or better yet can someone point me in the direction of a good resource? i've dug through the forums and found some good stuff to know (i.e. order to print colors in, adivse on sharp clean squeegees etc...)

I'm sure I can handle the exposure and the actual printing as long as I know I have a good set of films.

Any help would be completely rad.

Good call, this has some stuff to get me started. Angles and Line freq. are things I need to educate myself on more.

That really is a truckload of information - I think I got the seperations worked out on my own last night. My next question is ink reccomendations. Anybody got any preference? Who makes a good set of CMYK inks?
