Potentially stupid coating question

Does it matter in which direction a screen is coated? Width vs length? We usually coat bottom to top along the longest dimension (length) , but we are coating a screen for a client that is smaller than our coater, and would need to flip it over and coat top to bottom along the shorter dimension (width).

Don't know why this would matter, but thought I would ask.

I don't think it really matters. We coat them different directions based on the scoop to screen size. That said the screen does stretch more in one direction than the other.
