along with our regular 'Intro to Screenprinting' weekend courses we run every month up here on Vancouver Island, just wanted to put out the following 2 weeklong special courses i will be teaching at North Island College in Campbell River, just up the road apiece from where we live.
1. Screenprinting - Textile Applications
Learn the basics and then advanced techniques so you can print single and multicolour work on garments on a 6 colour carousel press. We will also have a step and repeat table set up, so you can learn to produce yard goods on cloth or roll stock materials. We will use waterbased inks, plastisols, and textile dyes. You can bring material for jobs with you to produce during the open studio portion of the course. More info and registration -

2. Introducing Screenprinting to your School or Studio
Designed specifically to assist teachers or studio managers to introduce screenprinting into the printmaking mix. You will learn up to date methods of printing flat graphics and textiles using low tox waterbased inks, and we will look at realworld case studies of how interested art and graphics instructors have brought this popular activity into their classrooms on a low budget, won the hearts and minds of students and their administrations, and inspired people to DIY and make art and create their own jobs and opportunities.
