My black ink is way to loose for my liking. How can I thicken up the ink and slow down the viscosity of it? I'm using speedball acrylic btw.
I kind of remember if I left the lid off so the water could evaporate, was a possible idea. Right?

Whenever I add extender base it seems to thicken it up. But maybe it would make your black less opaque, I don't know.
Golden liquid thickener.
You can leave the lid off so it'll evaporate. Waterbased skins up something chronic though so you'll have to stir it quite a bit every so often so it doesn't end up skinning.
Depending how thin it is a thickening agent would trans the ink out a lot wouldn't it? I've never tried a product like that, I'm quite happy to run waterbased bat-piss thin.
you only need a few drops. go easy, if you over-do it you can ruin a tub of ink fast. try it on a cup full.
thanks everyone.
interesting. worth knowing.
