On my first couple runs of posters, I sucked at registration. I will probably recycle most those posters because of embarrassment. A few of them look almost presentable, but if you look at the registration marks, someone in the know would be able to tell that I suck. I was planning on cutting them off on this batch out of shame.
On my third try, I really concentrated on the registration. Making my vinyl tape pieces way bigger helped big time. On this batch the registration is basically right on the money. Should I not trim off the top and bottom of the paper and leave the registration marks on there? A nice guy at a local print shop has a cutter and said I could use it for free, but I almost want to leave them on there. They kind of look cool. What do the pros like Emek and others do? Do the people that collect posters like those cut off? Not that a poster that I printed would ever be worth anything, but I am thinking for the future, if I ever make anything cool.
What do you think?
