New toy arrives tomorrow(plotter)

Got sick and tired of tiling my films together. Tiling seems to always throw registration off, especially trying to do 4CP prints. No matter what I did they always were off just y a little bit. Erratic as my life is, one thing where I demand order is in my art. So I got a big 24" Designjet 111 coming in tomorrow. Had to sell some shit on Ebay to get her but its okay. It take rolls of film which is nice and apparently cuts itself so it saves alot of room.

Anyone else have one of these beasts or another HP Designjet and can recommend settings for getting dark films? Would really hate to have this baby and still have to double them up. Hopefully this will pay for itself in saving funds on aspirin and beer.

how much did you pay for that beast? I hate doubling up my transparencies and tiling them it usually makes me want to rob a liquor store and eat schnitzle till i vomit. Hope it works out well for you, in the mean time I will continue the tiling for the both of us.

Is support for hp stuff in film and compatible ink for positives? everything i've ever seen is epson.

Yeah it can print onto HP Matte film. Whats nice is its 24 inch rolls.
