Transparency with House Paint? Tips?

This industrious little noob figured out how to print with house paint & floetrol. May thanks to the volumes on knowledge that reside in the bowels of these sacred forums.

All bullshit aside, i'd like to print some overlapping transparent colors - is this doable with house paint? If so what do I mix in and in what proportions? Will the speedball stuff work b/c I have some of that.

pigment-to-carrier ratio varies from brand to brand. you'll probably gonna have to mix up varying percentages and do some step prints.

House-paint is pretty tranny to begin with. I add more floetrol but you have to be careful about the dreaded orange peels. Then you need to add something thicker like speedball tranny base.
