Anyone near SF that can screen on cardboard boxes?

An artist friend of mine wants to get some custom boxes made for a show in a few months. Four color on one panel, two colors on the other three sides (nothing, I think, on the tops and bottoms). He probably wants to supply the boxes, but they won't be outlandishly huge or anything.

Anyway, he asked me to ask, so if you can handle this or have a recommendation, let me know...thanks!

I just quoted a one color (black) print on 4 sides of a standard shipping container for a client of mine in Houston. They wanted about $400 for the Dye and another $4-500 for the printing. The boxes were like a buck each.

I remember thinking "Man... I'm in the wrong business."

If your quantity is below 1,000, screening the art is the way to go. Either that, or get some laser copies printed, cut out the art, get some Super 77 and make yourself some stickers.

Your friend might want to call around to some corrugated manufacturing places and see if he can get some unglued flat ones straight from the die cutter. Probably make it a lot easier to print on rather than flat ones that have been glued and you can just make them up with some double sided tape.
