can anyone give me a quick how to on using ruby lith. how does it attach to your screen, do you just cut thru and past to screen via water? . What do you people use as a medium to burn your image, tracing paper, transparencies? Rubylith is used as a film for burning the image. It is never affixed to the screen. It's a clear film with a red layer on top of it. The red masks light. You cut only the red layer and peel away what you don't want to print. Whatever is left red on the film will make your stencil.

rubylith is a knife cut film.

MearlH you are confusing rubylith with hand cut stencil film - which you stick on your screen after peeling away the openings.

Both are similar, but one is stuck to the screen, the other (rubylith, which is a brand ) you leave the image in positive form, and burn onto a photo stencil.
