Ratio of retarder thinner to ink.

Ok so now I bought my inks and the retarder thinner, next question, how much retarder should i put in a cupful of ink.

I usually put a couple spoonfuls of retard to every cup of ink.

really? at times i can split my inks up to 50%, but that's also with a clear base. am i doing something i shouldn't?

I'm talking about retarder not base. You can use 100% base if you want.

Same here. Only on the driest of days with 100% black/red/white detail work do we ever use it.
