Default Question for the sticker printer folks on here...

I'm sick and tired of cleaning the sticky garbage off our paper cutter every time I slice down a sticker order.

I have some silicone spray we use on the back sides of shirt screens on the auto, would that transfer to and possibly ruin print sheets? I've been afraid to try it.

What do most folks do? Anything you can coat the blade with that will cut down on the gunk but not hurt the product? Or does everyone just suck it up and clean the blade every few days?

Any kind of solvent from HD or Lowe's will work. I use Xylene mostly as a cleanup solvent.

I'm assuming the solvent is just a cleanup since it would evaporate pretty quickly? I was hoping mostly for something that will prevent the buildup rather than clean it off.

I've often used just a light spray of silicone on the front and back of the cutters blade when cutting pvc stickers (once, at the beginning of the job) with no adverse effects to the stickers at all. some clean up is still required but not as bad as otherwise.
