Default Hix frame: how to retention

I just got a handful of roller frames from a local guy selling off his printing equipment. He has one Hix frame too--I did not get it because the tensioning method was not immediately evident. (He did not know--had never used it.) I would welcome some direction on the Hix.

    Ciao, Hank

Are these the square bar Hix ReTens? If so, there's a special toolkit needed to tension these. You can find the retensioning instructions on the Hix website. I don't know how you'd tension 'em without the tools, and Hix prices are pretty dear.

Thanks for the comment Mysterion. I went back to talk to the owner about buying the frame on the cheap but he gave it to me. I checked with the company and they sent me the manual for the frame. You're right: there is a special wrench that is used to tension the screen. I will contact my local Hix distributer and find out what they'll sell it for. However, I don't think I need it. I have a shop filled with various clamps. I cannot see why I cannot just reverse some bar or pipe clamps and use them to jack the frame sides to tension them. I actually think that'd work better than the Hix wrench-jack you're supposed to use. I got 5 roller frames along with the Hix. These are the first retensionable frames for me and I am looking forward to using them.
