Here is a helpful tip for folks without a large format printer for films.
I usually tile 11X17 films together. But recently I started going to Kinkos and printing some of my oversized films on their large format printer and doing the paper and oil method.
It works but it can be a mess.
My exposure unit is black lights and my usual burn time on a 255 mesh screen is around :45 seconds so with the oiled paper method i have found that 6 min works.
Today I didn't feel like using the oil and these were films I wanted to archive so I decided to try it with just the paper no oil. I doubled the burn time and went to the washout booth thinking it didn't work.
Sure enough it washed out perfectly.I did three more screens like this today just to make sure it wasn't a fluke.I'm sure it's not a perfect process and maybe fine halftones could be a problem but it might be a good option for some folks.
Make sure you ask the person at Kinkos to print it as dark as they can without messing up the image. I have found that the default settings they use comes out a bit light.
