    Default Prepping an image for screen printing- help please!

    I have an ink and brush drawing I need to prep for screen printing, but Im a bit confused as to how I simplify the image;



    Id like to just use one black and one grey but no idea how i do this in photoshop...anyone help? Or know any good tutorials?

    I'd print out just the black and do the gray plate on vellum with a brush and ink.

    Duplicate the background layer. Magic wand the grey and delete it. There's your black sep. On a new layer do a fill with black to make the grey sep. Click multiply for layers and adjust the opacity to preview it.
