    Default Squeegee Sharpening Service

    any one know of place to get squeegee sharpened in the Bay Area, i found Pocono on line, but i'd worried about shipping a 5 foot squeegee. any one know of some place...thanks

    I have never sharpened any of my squeegees ........ ever.

    just call around every print shop in your area, someone might do it in house.

    why would you be afraid to ship a piece of rubber? if nobody local can do it...roll, and ship with insurance.

    Needs to be sharpened in the blade holder. Otherwise it gets all crookedy.

    it's just kinda awkward to ship a 4"x6"x"60 box, the smaller ones are not as an issue to ship. it just seems like a shame cause the sharpening is so cheap but i'm sure the shipping can add up. i have to find a local shop i guess. uhhhh anyone out there in the bay area have a sharpener inhouse?

    You could possibly sharpen your squeege on a belt sander,or a planer. JMO.

    If you try to sharpen with a belt sander the sanding belt needs to be longer than your blade. I have a belt sander for squeegees that is massive but the one time I tried to sharpen a blade bigger than the sander I messed up my squeegee forever.
