They offered me a machine to use as a trial and never followed through. I was interested to check it out (the same way I always want to play those little kid drum kits at the toy store).

I can't imagine being in this position and saying to myself "Hey! I bet the people at Gigposters will be helpful!". -Phoon
yeah, it felt like they almost didn't follow through for me too. i was blown away that they offered to send me one, and then when the AD at Venus asked me how the tests went, i had to tell her that i never received it, and boom! it arrived a couple of days later.
i WILL. shizouka! that would be fun, actually. once my studio is all set up (next month) that would be fun.
plus, i want to have a little opening party and print yudu shirts: "i went to strawberryluna's studio opening and all i got was this crummy tshirt."
i like fun.

People keep asking me about this thing, like it'd make my life easier. And then I try to explain how it's really done, and how this is an entry-level made-for-grandma thing, and they think I'm crazy.

From the product reviews-
'Okay, the machine is big, the dvd demo with "Barry" is very strange, you do have to buy additional supplies and there is a learning curve. I watched all the YUDU web videos available (go into Google)and it helped but I went to see a demo at Joann's & it all made sense then! The 1st shirt is the hardest but then you want to do shirts, tote bags, etc all night long. I found that if you rinse the screen out DIRECTLY after imprinting your item-- the ink came out with no emulsion remover needed!'
AWESOME! She didn't need the emulsion remover to wash the ink off! What a deal!

It's a super-sized gocco, with about the same accuracy and workflow. (Note: I'm a fan of gocco...). Definitely not for serious production runs of anything, but fun and useful in its own context.
I totally agree!
The point is also another, people are happy to buy tshirts printed not so good, and until the day the people won't request quality everywhere we can continue to see some genre of printing.
However I must admit that a lot of people for any reason can't afford expensive machines like a carousel will be more than happy and satisfied to use that device. Imagine for example all the quilters!
goodnight,
