    Default Weedeater Poster Process Thread

I always like these process threads so I thought I'd drop one. I take pics of every step of every print I do just in case I drink too much and can't remember how I did something. On this particular print I decided to give the hated reg pins a try as I came into possession of a sweet paper cutter. I have to say I don't hate them. Cutting the holes off took less time then signing them. The main problem was not hitting the pins when printing but once you knew where they were it was cake.

    Key image almost done

    1st color lt green printed

2nd color med green printed. Yep, they're drying on the floor. Sold my rack and exposure unit before moving away from San Francisco. I just got a huge one super cheap on craisglist but its a bit rusty and needs cleaning. Until then the floor.

    3rd Color Forest Green

4th Color Transparent Cream- Yeah I know I forgot to add water in the bong. I wonder why that could have been?

Awesome! Are you inking right onto vellum for your line work?

Yeah I ink directly onto frosted mylar/vellum. For most of the larger background shapes I handcut rubylith but I forgot to get pics of that. It's important to use the rapidiograph "ink for film" not the "ink for film and paper" because the "ink for film" is jet fucking black. I just wish there were some other pens out there you could fill with your own ink because keeping the rapidiograph pens clean and unclogged makes me punch things. Anyone have any recommendations? Next print I'll have pics of the actual printing setup.
