I've been working on a small series of art prints with astronauts as the subject. Here's the latest one. It's actually really similar to the other process thread I posted. Enjoy.
I started off with a few rough sketches.
Here is the completed drawing on my light table.
Transparency and color separations on the light table:
After this step, I coat the screens and let them dry. Below is a shot of the first one being exposed with a 500 watt halogen.
Wash out > dry > sleep.
Then I get my registration tabs in place and tape off the first screen.
Here is the first color.
Second color, split fountain: red violet to light yellow (the red violet is slightly metallic)

Then it was reclaiming time. I've still got to trim the prints down and sign them. Now that I'm looking at it, I probably should have done a fourth screen... maybe some light blue shadows or something on the figure.
Now I'm off to buy groceries!
