Hey everybody. I love process threads so I thought I'd do another one. I made this 9 color print a year or so ago. There's a building in downtown Omaha called the Riley building and this hand painted sign is on the side of it. Done in the 1980's. After seeing a short film about NYC building painters, I was inspired to try to do this print. I've printed a ton of simulated process tshirts but have never tried a print on paper. Let alone one I separated myself. After a few months of playing around with the seps, I decided to go for it. Anyway, here's some photos of the process.
18X24. 100 lb white. 195s and 230s. Dither diffusion.
1st color: brown
2nd color: red
3rd color: orange

6th color: blue split fountain

8th color: dark grey
9th color: black
Final print:
I seriously never would have attempted something like this without GP and the insane amounts of wisedom on these boards. I've learned more lurking around here than any screenprinting shop I've worked at. So thanks.
