Color 2 is a medium-light cloud gray, with lots of transparency.


Set up for print. This is the heaviest coverage color, and we're leaving it at these 2 today because we want the inks bone dry cured before we start piling other colors up on top of them.

Color 3 is a neutral gray-brown. It functions as an underbase for the grass and trees, with highlights struck out.

It's also important to point out that Dan can, for example, knock out an area over 9 colors without even blinking an eye. We realized day one, we were in the printing boot camp of Mt. Everest basecamp.... the question was, had Nick and I trained enough for this?

50 Shades of Gray?

Very different shades. I never use gray made from just black & white. The cloud grays are very purple, and this one has a lot of Raw Umber in it. None of them contain more than a few drops of black, if any.
