When we got the files, it was like Pan's Labyrinth. We got to see the genius at work! It was quite daunting to get in there....

Man I'm glad this thread is getting some folks to check out Codeine.
Here's one of my favorites
We start printing the 1st color in about 1hr.

this should be good, i don't really eat popcorn, but i may indulge in a licorice twist.
I love Codeine, I love Sonnenzimmer and I love Crosshair. This may be the best thing ever.
LOVE Codeine, can't wait to see where Sonnenzimmer takes this.
i like the way you built suspense with that sequence of photos.
looking good.
I also would like to point out Jeff Kleinsmith's cover art and design for the White Birch. This kind of art work opened up a huge door to album art in the 90's.
((((((())))))))
I'm thoroughly enjoying this thread. I couldn't imagine a better collaboration to represent the brilliance of Codeine.
That album came out right when I was learning printing. I was like, "halftoned photo over a white field, on earthy toned uncoated paper, with stark lettering? I can DO that!"
Then it turned out that actually making it look good was not so simple.
That, along with the first Tortoise and Shellac LP sleeves by Fireproof Press, is what got me into this rock art mess in the first place.
