Gina Kelly/Justin Santora Screens N Spokes 2010 Process Thread

Hello!
Gina Kelly and I have been talking about doing a print collaboration for quite a while now, and it would seem that it's finally happening. Gina came in from Milwaukee last evening (after having just arrived there from LA and before that, Paris). We met at Union Station in Chicago and got some falafels.



After that, we ended up at Screwball Press and began drawing a sketch that will be used as a guide for each color.




When the drawing was finished, we taped some rubylith down and began cutting the first color (with a little help from Elvis Costello and the Buzzcocks).



Then it was super late. So today, we're in my home studio and are about to print the first color. Pictures and updates will follow throughout the day. True story.

Alright peeps...first color finished and drying, second film painted carved and burned. we are off to photograph the next meal (mexican) and see what we can do about those beer cans. we're nice folks, we can handle requests.
