Just saw this lengthy Brian Ewing process thread for the poster he did for Revolver Mag. It has a ton of detailed pics of his sketching and inking process. Thought it would be a good edition to the process threads.

Ruling. Brian, when doing your seps in Illustrator, how do get the handmade look? I'm guessing you import the clean lines into Photoshop and rough them up there?

PW- Yeah. Or I'll print out the shadow/shape rough it up then scan then import it back into Illustrator.

Cool, thanks. Clean vector lines would stick out like a sore thumb on these types of designs.

The clean vector stuff works well for folks like Ken Taylor. I ink the drawing with the intention of giving it some texture.
